Team Mission And Vision

TNHS Volleyball Team Mission:
The mission of Thomas Nelson High School volleyball team is to instill pride into our young ladies by teaching and reinforcing the LEADER Core Values through leadership and teamwork. By becoming better student athletes, the girls will learn to be a family on and off the court by working together, having a hard work ethic, being disciplined, and striving to achieve our goals.

Goals:

  • Win District and compete at Regions
  • Be great in the classroom by achieving and maintaining the highest GPA of all sports at Thomas Nelson as they have since the opening of the school
  • Compete with and show 100% heart in practice and games
Using the LEADER Values:
Learning

  • Coaches
  1. Learn through personal experience with practice by using game film
  2. Input from experts of the game, i.e. professional volleyball players and educational videos
  3. Schedule camps for the team to attend

  1. Being a student first is top priority
  2. Use self-reflections on games and practice

  1. Show intensity and pride in our school by being excited to practice and coach everyday
